ABOUT

The Romanian Department of Theatre is the oldest department of our faculty. It offers programs that combine students’ practical training with theoretical training in programs designed to serve diverse artistic orientations and career paths.

The courses we offer focus on the development of imaginative and creative thinking, performance skills, artistic expression, historical and theoretical knowledge, and the ability to use classical, experimental and alternative theatrical techniques to create innovative artistic productions. A hallmark of our pedagogical approach is encouraging students to explore the relationship of the performing arts to current social and cultural practices and facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration with departments, faculties and performing arts institutions at home and abroad. Benefiting from a balanced curriculum and rich professional experience during their studies, our graduates are able to cultivate a wide range of artistic and critical skills to optimize their career options.
