On the occasion of The Photographic Art Day in Romania, the Hungarian Department of Cinematography and Media of Babeș-Bolyai University is organising a photography exhibition, together with the Consulate General of Hungary in Cluj-Napoca.
The Photographic Art Day in Romania, taking place annually on January 11th since 2010, is related to the birthday of Carol Pop de Szathmári (1812–1887), a photographer born in Cluj and a pioneer of Romanian photography. This year, the photographic art community celebrates 210 years since his birth.
The Hungarian Department of Cinematography and Media pays homage to the memory of Carol Pop de Szathmári by organizing a photography exhibition with works made by year II students from our department. The exhibition features visual artist Dr. Diana Dragan Chirilă and researcher Dr. Molnár Attila as guests.
The opening of the exhibition is taking place on Monday, January 10, 2022, at 6 pm, in the event hall of the Consulate General of Hungary in Cluj-Napoca.
