Industrial Film and the Aesthetics of the Global Value Chain in Cluj-Napoca

Professor Vinzenz Hediger, Goethe Universitaet Frankfurt am Main – invited by UNATC Bucharest and UBB Cluj-Napoca, partners Goethe Institut Bucharest and Goethe-Zentrum Klausenburg –  edited two volumes fundamental for the research of industrial films, both open access: Films That Work. Industrial Film and the Productivity of Media (2009) ; Films That Work Harder. The Circulation of Industrial Film (2023).

Professor Hediger will give a lecture and engage in research discussions on the 19th of April 2024 (Friday) at the Theatre and Film Faculty of Babes-Bolyai University, starting from his work on the media activity of shipping company Maersk and entitled Industrial Film and the Aesthetics of the Global Value Chain. Venue: Cluj-Napoca, Strada Kogălniceanu nr. 4, Cinema Room, 15-18 EET.
