Post-Industrial Nostalgia, A Transmedia Journey

The voices of the past are revealing the spirit of solidarity and belonging, a society where the idea of the ‘collective’ was ideologically encouraged through industry and teamwork – now depicting a deep nostalgia. The master programs Documentary Filmmaking and Digital Interactive Arts gathered together to listen to these wise voices that told us stories about the former factories on Romanian territory. Through the eyes of the master students, we try to bring back to life the collective memory of this period of industrial glory – a time loaded with memories of community, daily work but also the emotional bonds formed in these imposing buildings. The audience will have the opportunity to explore this post-industrial transmedia journey through a photography exhibition, several interactive installations, a sensitive performance, soundscapes, interviews and an archive filled with memories.
